Bob Patten
presenter at BC II, BCIII, BCIV, & BCV
Bob has spent the better part of his life
flintknapping, and he’s been at it for over forty years too. He started
learning on his own, but got the best help from the ancient ones. Bob
willingly translates clues left by past masters of stonecrafting and usually
replicates Paleo-Indian projectiles using original tools and processes. It’s
amazing how much enlightenment can come from quiet reflection on ancient
cast-offs. There is nothing wrong with using modern tools, but there’s hardly
a better foundation for learning than that lain by thousands of years of
practical experience.
